Here is how the challenge will work:
This new and unique challenge will last 29 days, it will start in July on the first Monday of the month (July 2) and will end on the last Monday of the month (July 30) at 7pm with a Paleo Potluck to announce the Challenge winners and give out prizes. All classes on 7/2 and 7/30 will be testing for “Fight Gone Bad” – a staple in the CrossFit community; 3 rounds, 5 minutes, 5 movements. It is a true measurement tool for performance based athletics.
There are 4 levels of participation in the challenge, this season we are thrilled to bring a new level of nutrition and convenience to the challenge… Fresh, prepared and delivered food to your front door by our partners at HealthEase. A full comprehensive overview of the Challenge has been emailed to all students.
The goal of the challenge is to focus on the daily habits that will optimize your health, particularly what you eat. For the challenge you will eat whole natural foods found in the Paleo Diet, meat/fish/poultry/animal protein, vegetables & fruit, & nuts/seeds/oils. Grains including wheat, corn, rice, barley, quinoa, & oats are NOT allowed. Dairy including yogurt, cheese & milk is NOT allowed. Legumes including soy, peanuts, & beans are NOT allowed. Alcohol and sugar are NOT allowed.
One point will be collected each day for eating clean and Paleo style. Your “Shopping List” in your CrossFit Scottsdale Success Journal is your guide to what will cost you a point. If it’s not in there and you eat it, it will cost you a point. There will also be ‘bonus points’ available weekly. Scoring for the challenge will consist of 1/3 percentage improvement in body measurements/weight, 1/3 Fight Gone Bad rep improvement, and 1/3 the amount of points you have at the end of the challenge.
Call (480) 922-3253, email info@CrossFitScottsdale.com or sign up at the gym to enroll in one of the challenge options.
