With the first workout being announced on March 15, the CrossFit Games Open is less than a month away. “Friday Night Lights” starts on the evening of March 18th and will be your place to shine to perform open workouts under judge supervision at a registered affiliate. Throughout the Open, strict requirements for completion will be enforced. Team registration will begin with every member of a team first registering as an individual. Then, one team member will pay 20 dollars to register as the team captain. It will not cost any additional fees to add team members, regardless of the size of the team. A team must consist of at least 3 men and 3 women.
The new HQ website will go live on March 7th, and will have all the rules, regulations, and registration options in full detail. The cost will be $10, but anyone who has registered for Friday Night Lights and paid the $99 entry fee will have $10 refunded back to them at the end of the 6 week performance if they successfully complete the 6 week series. All aspiring Regional and Games competitors must register on the Open Website no later than March 20th at 17:00 PDT. Registration for Friday Night Lights will close each Wednesday prior to the Friday events. Each week athletes from around the world will complete the same workout, and submit their times or video proof to the Open Website. For those of you who participate in Friday Night Lights, CrossFit Scottsdale will validate your scores/times. The best athletes and teams will progress.
There’s a strong incentive for success. The top 60 men, 60 women, and 30 teams in each region will qualify for Regional competition.
